Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA)
The Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) is an international organization for families who own and enjoy the recreational use of motor homes. With more than 100,000 active member families, FMCA is the world's largest motor home owners group. Since 1963 FMCA has issued more than 400,000 memberships to families who look to the association as their source of information about all facets of motor home ownership and travel. Foremost, and irreplaceable, are the fun and friendship shared by people who enjoy the common interest of motor home travel. The Association is rich in the tradition of FMCA members extending hands of genuine friendship to one another.
South Texas Renegades Chapter (STR)
South Texas Renegades (STR) is in the South Central Region of the Family Motor Coach Association. There are 10 regions in all. The area associations are designed to promote communication between FMCA and all chapters within the areas.
As motor-coachers we love to travel, see the country, enjoy nature and visit with all of the wonderful people we meet along the way.
The South Texas Renegades schedule nine rallies per year and cover the second weekend of each month except July, August and December. Rallies are usually held within a 250 mile radius of Houston or San Antonio, although we have traveled out of state on occasion.
Club membership ranges from 80 to 100 member coaches. We are an active group of people who enjoy visiting with each other, sight-seeing, and shopping in the rally areas. We have a mix of retirees and those who still are involved in the working world.
After dinner activities include playing games such as Poker, Pegs and Jokers, Card Bingo, 7-Up and more. We also share our knowledge RV maintenance/troubleshooting ideas and topics.
Food also is a big part of each rally with a Thursday night dinner (to kick off the rally), Friday evening dinner, Saturday breakfast and Saturday dinner (to wrap up the rally). On Friday's we typically have a lunch at an area restaurant.
Typically rally participants number from 20 to 40 coaches thereby allowing all members to socialize and become better acquainted. Many members arrive by Monday or Tuesday before the offical rally and enjoy "mini-rallies" by getting together each evening for fun and fellowship.

Welcome and thank you for checking out our website
2024 is going to be a great year for The South Texas Renegades. We are celebrating our 45th Club Anniversary in April and have six fun filled rallies scheduled. Food, fun, laughter, and fellowship is what our RV family is all about. If you love RVing as much as the rest of us, we hope you will join us at one of the rallies.
As long time RVers, my wife Cindy and I were introduced and joined the South Texas Renegades in 2015. Since being members, we have met and developed lifetime friendships with some really wonderful people. We have seen some beautiful parts of Texas as well as traveling elsewhere with some in our group. We are so happy that we joined this great club and hope that you will come and experience it for yourself.
